Weekends

This weekend has been a great one. I was able to go to 2 Astros games and I got to go to the beach twice. The games were so much fun. On Thursday the Astros won. The game got kind of boring towards the end because no one scored after the 4th inning. Then on Friday it was kind of frustrating. The Astros could not get a decent hit. The game ended up being a loss. Saturday I got to go to the beach and collect seashells. Then yesterday I got to go again with the youth group I am working with. The connection thing seems to be getting better. We are going to be leaving here soon (sad day).

Go figure!

I am working with a youth group and I am having a hard time understanding how to connect. These kids are great and I really enjoy working with them. Where the connection problem comes in is when we try to get them involved in activities nothing is good enough. I don't know how nothing can be fun or worth wile doing. It seems like anything we suggest doing boring. I want these kids to see that you can have fun doing anything as long as you choose to have fun. We have many choices in life and you cannot and will not find contentment in life unless you choose to see life with a positive attitude. See I know what I want my kids to see but I am not understanding how to relay that message to them.
